Interscholastic Athletic Conference all-star teams were announced for boys basketball Tuesday, and eight Cayuga County players from the North Small School Division came away with honors.
Moravia senior Joe Baylor was named division MVP and earned a first-team spot after helping the Blue Devils capture their third straight Section IV, Class C title. Senior Riley Jones, junior Zach Szachta and sophomore Jairen Francis each received second-team honors.聽
The Blue Devils will continue their postseason run on Sunday when they take on Section III鈥檚 Cooperstown in the state regional round at Visions Veterans Memorial Arena in Binghamton.
Additionally, Union Springs senior Aaron Johnson and sophomore Nevin Brown were each named to the first team. Sophomore Cooper DeChick received second-team honors. The Wolves ended the year at 16-6.
Southern Cayuga senior Isaac Brozon, who became the program鈥檚 all-time leading scorer this season, earned a first-team IAC spot. Behind his scoring, Southern Cayuga posted a record of 13-7.聽
