The Auburn Fire Department was called to the scene of a structure fire at 1 Franklin St. on Saturday night.

Assistant Fire Chief Jeff Clark told 水果派AV on Sunday that the structure was vacant, so there were no injuries or displacements.

According to Cayuga County property records, the structure is a two-family home with six bedrooms that was built in 1920.

Firefighters searched the property to make sure no one was inside, Clark said, but it's possible there were "people who shouldn't have been there" before the fire broke out.聽

The fire took about 30 minutes to get under control, Clark said.

Firefighters were assisted by Auburn police and ambulance, Throop ambulance, NYSEG, the city's code enforcement office and Cayuga County 911.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, Clark said.
